“Work-life balance” is essential in some sense. As the flight attendant says every time, “Put YOUR oxygen mask on first and then help those around you.” Still, “work-life balance“ as a slogan is generally an excuse for the lazy, the unproductive, and the mediocre.
Only you can decide, for yourself. Only you can decide if you will walk through the door into the unknown, where no one else you know has gone.
Just remember that there are very few who succeed in much of anything unless the goals are more than mediocrity. Perhaps that’s good enough for you. But if it’s not…
Success belongs to those who dare to dream beyond the limits others impose and work relentlessly to make the impossible real. You CAN be that person. Mediocrity settles for what’s safe, but passion refuses to rest until excellence is achieved. Embrace your vision, fuel it with your passion, and let nothing stand in your way.
