Run Your Race to Win!

“You can’t outrun a dog.” A PR, personal record, by nearly a HALF SECOND in 400m, is amazing. The 400 is PAINFUL, a pure sprint AND pure distance event. “Pacing” in the 400 is kind of a joke. This guy did it out of pure will! Congrats Bro.

For the first time in human history five runners were under 44 seconds in a 400m race.

Consider that fewer than 1% of college 100m races are won by a time of 10 seconds or better. 10.41 to 10.8 seconds is Division 1 elite sprinter status.

Quincy Hall did FOUR of these consecutively! And he still had the courage and hunger for the finish line that is a challenge to us all. “Participation Award”? Ha!

I’ve seen many times “another gear“ in a sporting event. This was not that. This was heart.

Maybe this isn’t just about “Track” or the Olympics? “Run YOUR race to Win”?
