Toxic Masculinity?

Toxic Masculinity? “Mom, can I go outside and do something DANGEROUS now?” (Actual quote.)

In plain speak about how testosterone makes dudes and ladies different upstairs:

The Testosterone Tango

So, here’s the deal: Testosterone is like the secret sauce that makes men, well, men. It’s not just about muscles – this hormone is messing with our heads too.

The Man Cave of the Mind

For guys, having more testosterone is inescapably like being at a rowdy party in your brain:

– They’re more likely to take risks, like “Watch this!”
– They’ve got a shorter fuse and might blow up quicker
– They’re all about competition, forget “participation awards”.
– Mercy and kindness are fine, but weakness from lack of will is not.

With ten times more Testosterone, dudes have an extra shot of confidence, sometimes pushing them to do crazy. They’re the ones who jump off cliffs into water.

The Feminine Frequency

Now, for the ladies, sometimes with ten times more Estrogen, it’s a whole different ballgame:

– They’re usually more in tune with feelings and better at reading others
– They’re often the peacemakers, trying to keep everyone happy
– Multi-tasking? That’s their jam. They say, anyway.

Women, with their lower testosterone levels, are like the DJs of social situations, picking up on all the subtle vibes and keeping things smooth.

The Battle of the Sexes (in the Brain)

Here’s where it gets interesting:

– Guys are wired to be more spatially aware – but not so great for finding things in the fridge
– Ladies often have the edge in verbal skills

It’s like God decided to give each team different superpowers.

The Bottom Line

At the end of the day, testosterone is like that friend who’s always pushing you to do stuff. It makes men more likely to take charge, take risks, and maybe take a punch or two. Women, with less of this pushy hormone, tend to be more about keeping the peace and reading the room.

But here’s the kicker – we’re all individuals. Just because you’re a guy doesn’t mean you’re going to be an aggressive risk-taker, and being a lady doesn’t automatically make you a feelings expert, and unwilling to risk.

So next time you see a guy doing something crazy (or sadly rude) or a girl smoothing over a tense situation, you can nod and think, “Ah, testosterone (or the lack of it) at work!” Just remember, we’re all a mix of hormones, experiences, and choices – testosterone is just one ingredient in the complex cocktail that makes us who we are.

“Toxic Masculinity” or “Macho Man” are only cheap convenient labels to condemn or condone
ARROGANCE
IGNORANCE
SELFISHNESS
BULLYING.

But! WOMEN ARE ALSO CAPABLE of such garbage. It’s just BAD CHARACTER.

There’s no “Toxic Masculinity” — only evil hearts. It’s not that “men” or “women” – testosterone or estrogen – are superior. It’s about choices. It’s about character. Fundamental SCIENCE differences create different useful (or destructive) tendencies – when these are undirrected by a higher calling. Choose.
