My 8-year-old, riveted to the screen for the final 20 laps, said “Do I have to learn how to drive before they will let me race in the Indy 500?”
That sounds a lot like the conversations between Dan Bythewood and Daniel Bythewood Sr. in those early years, I bet!

When cars are doing May practice runs and time trials on the track, golfers literally need to have ear plugs to play golf! A Pete Dye course, rebuilt in 1993 with Greg Norman and Larry Bird playing the grand re-opening exhibition round. Quite fun. I’ve made a lot of money off of David Szazynski on this golf course!
