Neuromorphic Architecture vs. GPU AI: The Shift

Human brain-modeled architecture (peanut butter and chocolate operating system), 74 Watts vs Megawatts, “more powerful than GPU AI”?

Does this change the “Data Center“ building boom, and power consumption/infrastructure expectation, if played out?

Neuromorphic Architecture vs. GPU AI: The Shift

The brain has been running intelligence on 20 watts for millions of years. We have been trying to replicate it with systems consuming megawatts. That is not an engineering problem. That is an architecture problem.

A chip designed to mimic the structure of the human brain just outperformed the most advanced AI hardware on earth by 72 times on energy efficiency. Two generations behind in manufacturing process. Fraction of the power. No external memory required. Architecture did that. Not scale. Not investment. Architecture.

Every era of exponential growth has been preceded by a return to first principles. The question was never how to do more of what is working. It was always whether the foundation was right.
