Beware the Ray-Bans

NOW remember people you’ve NEVER MET, and their home address. Excellent. AI and personal data “pick-pockets” of 2025. A “chip in the brain” to not forget people’s names?

Of course, “Don’t forget the sunscreen”. But now a new one: “Beware the Ray-Bans”.

Two Harvard students just exposed how Meta’s Ray-Ban smart glasses could be weaponized for instant doxxing.

Using facial recognition tools like PimEyes, they created a system called I-XRAY that can pull up personal details—names, addresses, phone numbers—in real-time.

Here’s how it works:
– Smart glasses livestream to Instagram
– AI scans faces and cross-references databases
– Info is sent to an app, revealing everything from relatives to home addresses

Although they’re not releasing the code, this highlights how easily bad actors could misuse current tech.
