I was reading a couple things people were saying about Charlie Kirk (VP Vance’s eulogy)… it’s very clear that people really loved this guy deeply because he actually DID things that changed their lives forever — Love in action. I know I have fallen short of that so much because of evil pride/skepticism, or man pleasing at work, or the control problem 🤮. I am very sorry for all that. I want to become someone with God’s selfless love bursting out… not for me.
“He had this uncanny ability… he thought about me (my travel or my family or how he could make my life better or get me a hotel) more than I thought about me. And he would be like, hey, is your wife, you know, she set up, do you need us to do something for her? And he would just constantly do that. his guy has his schedule so tightly packed like a Tetris board. And yet somehow he made space in his brain to worry about me.”
I want to be selfless (it doesn’t matter what happens to me) like that and love you guys and those at work and enemies even like that, with prayer, thoughtfulness and lived/spoken Truth.
