A Lion chasing a Bear. The Bear is correct. An ego is deadly — for anyone.

The Most Dangerous Thing in the Wild Isn’t a Snake. It’s Your Ego.
I’ve spent alot of time in some of the most hostile environments on earth. Jungles, deserts, mountains, frozen oceans.
People always ask me what the most dangerous thing out there is. They expect me to say a snake, a bear, or a crevasse.
It’s none of those. The most dangerous thing in the wild is your ego.
Ego makes you take unnecessary, un-calculated risks. It makes you ignore the advice of your team. It makes you push for the summit when the weather is turning.
In the wild, ego kills you quickly.
In business and in life, it kills you quietly. It makes you stop listening. It makes you stop learning. It makes you think you have all the answers.
The moment you think you’ve got it all figured out is the moment you’re in the most danger.
Stay humble. Listen to the people around you. And remember that the mountain doesn’t care how important you think you are.
Stay humble or be humbled.
