The Closest Marathon Race in Human History

The closest marathon race in human history – decided by 00.01 seconds, after 26.2 miles!

Victory was decided by a the width of your pointer finger yesterday morning during the 41st Los Angeles Marathon.

American Nathan Martin needed every foot of the
26.2-mile course to chase down leader Michael Kimani Kamau of Kenya.

Martin posted a time of 2 hours, 11 minutes, 16.50 seconds, almost precisely five minute mile pace, or 12 mph.

Try that for 100 yards sometime, let alone 46,112 yards!
