We may need to increase dependance on AI and robots for medical procedures… Or at least be very aware of who is flying and fixing our airplanes, or performing surgeries on us. There are some advantages to a “meritocracy” when lives are at stake. Most people CAN be trained, and be competent, and deserve the opportunity beyond question, but they have to be held to a high standard and want it themselves. “Lowering the standard” for anything is just plain ignorant. If not dangerous.
Doesn’t it seem like some level of confidence in the quality of our food, water, medicine, transportation, education, legal system, manufacturing quality and the rest would be important?
