Our next biggest test starts tonight. The Banana Ball Player Draft.
We are disrupting ourselves again. With the launch of the Banana Ball Championship League in 2026 with six teams, we knew we had to do something to make our game even more competitive.
After the fans selected their first three picks for the Bananas, Party Animals, Firefighters and Tailgaters, and the coaches franchised their next 8 picks, the Draft is now officially open.
Some of the most well known names in Banana Ball are now part of the draft and could switch teams. Add in some of the most talented and entertaining players from around the world, and this draft pushes the game of Banana Ball to the next level.
Our two newest teams, the Loco Beach Coconuts and Indianapolis Clowns will get two picks in each round to fill the rosters, while our four returning teams will get one pick for each of the 11 rounds.
The amount of potential storylines that are being built with this draft is unreal. And the interest level based on the amount of videos, posts and messages from the fans is at an all-time high.
When we started Banana Ball many fans saw us as just an exhibition team or “The Globetrotters of Baseball,” now our fans have become even more invested in the players, and their teams, and it’s amazing to watch.
Our goal was to always bring this game to as many fans as possible. But we knew we needed fans to care for this game and for this not to just be a fun fad that sizzles out after a few years.
This is the start. We are building a sport. And this draft is our first big test to see how our fans respond.
We shall see tonight…but based on the initial excitement from our fans, I couldn’t be more fired up for tonight’s draft and the future of Banana Ball.
