Systems Engineering. I love this field, as it relates to life itself, spiritual, religion (not the same thing), physical, economics, national defense, governance, entrepreneurism, elite sports training, agriculture, medicine, relationships, families, and communities.
Outcomes are the product of relationships between the parts. Optimizing parts does not necessarily optimize outcomes.
Blood pressure medicine is not always the answer for high blood pressure. There are more factors involved that must be considered. More fertilizer is not always the right answer for better tomatoes, if we are also considering micro biomes and groundwater. Systems engineering and delta-t, time, are non-negotiable in understanding and optimizing outcomes.
