Do worldwide tragedies happen as cyclically as the 13 and 17 year locusts? Weird. I wonder if there’s anything on the calendar for 2029?
The Great Plague of Marseille, 1720, was a late outbreak of the bubonic plague in Europe. The First Cholera Pandemic was 1820. The Spanish Flu killed millions worldwide, 1920-ish. And, you’ll remember the SARS-CoV-2 worldwide murderous virus of circa 2020.
If the policies of Calvin Coolidge were the set up for the stock market crash of 1929, causing more than a decade of worldwide misery and poverty, perhaps we need to be really careful about the credentials and policies of the next presidential election.

The United States, with its $29 trillion economy, is by far the worlds largest “business”. Representing 26% of the entire planet’s economy, it’s not a joke or beauty contest for who gets to pull the strings.
It is a highly demanding creative, courageous, and intellectual process to run any company, let alone a huge business — with a military. 40% of annual military expenditures are made by the United States, of the $2.44 trillion spent by the world’s military.
Would you casually toss the keys of your 986 Horsepower Ferrari SF90 Stradale Plug-in Hybrid… to your 15-year-old teenager, without their license or training? Really?
It’s hard to understand how politics is more about clever marketing, spin, obfuscation, and psychological warfare — than it is about qualifications, cycle after cycle after cycle. The electorate should know better. Someday this will get the world in trouble.
